Age, clinical stage and histologic type of the breast cancer at Gineco 4, IMSS

ABSTRACT
In a period of five years a total of 1,226 cases of breast cancer where detected, the distribution according to age showed a majority of cases occurring between the ages of 40 and 59 years, 17% of cases occurred in women 70 years and older. Clinical Stage II was more frequent, followed by stage III with 31% and stage I with 8.4%. Histology analysis demonstrated Ductal invasive carcinoma NOS as the most frequent with 77.6%.
