ABSTRACT
The chronic pelvic pain is a medical entity very little recognized, although for the patients the pelvic pain is related to menstrual disturbs could cause incapacity and required long medical or chirurgical treatments. This kind of pain often comes along with sympathetic hyperactivity and psychological dysfunction as, anorexia, apathy and insomnia. This kind of pain could appear because of a well defined etiology, but in other cases there will be no evidence that explain the pain cause; being a mixture of somatic, sympathetic and naturopathic components. The majority of the pelvic innervations structures occur through the superior hypogastric plexus. As in other circumstances the value of the of the neural blockades for the chronic pain treatment is very little recognized .The neurolytic or neurosurgical interventional techniques must be considered as a complement of the pharmacological therapies. In this report are consider the different interventional blockades such as: Lumbar sympathetic block, Superior hipogastric plexus block,Walther ganglion block, Perimedular block, Periferical nerve blocks and Intrathecal therapy with opioids .In the case of the non-maligan or malignan pain these procedures have a diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic value. The procedures in the situation of the pain origin no noncolonogic and oncologic they have value diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic, particularl y the interventions in the Superior Hipogastric Plexo and Walter Ganglion that you/they have been worth and reconfirmed by different groups of investigators in different countries, considerating like a part of the armamentarium of the treatment of the chronic pain of the pelvis.
