ABSTRACT
Objective. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the institutional treatment in patient postsurgical of reconstruction of Anterior Cruciate Ligament by means of Scales of Functional Valuation. Methodology. The study was Prospective, Longitudinal and Descriptive. Twenty six patients were captured, ages among 15 to 36 years and diagnostic of complete rupture of Anterior Cruciate Ligament confirmed by magnetic resonance. They underwent surgical treatment with reconstruction ligament. The institutional rehabilitatory treatment was granted by 16 weeks and the scales were applied before the surgical treatment and later to the rehabilitatory treatment the scales: The Hospital for Special Surgery Knee Score (HSSKS), Lysholm and Analogical Visual Scale (EVA). The Evaluation of the Patient’s Satisfaction (ESP) was carried out at the end of the integral treatment. They were analyzed with statistical tests non parametric. Results. The biggest percentage of patient before the beginning of the treatment presented a functionality punctuation of poor to fair and a pain intensity between 3 and 8. Later to 16 weeks of rehabilitatory treatment they presented a functionality punctuation of fair to good and pain intensity of 0 at 4. It was achieved in the biggest percentage of patient the complete return to its occupational activities but not to its sport activities. The biggest percentage of patients referred to feel very happy with the treatment. Conclusions. The results were related with the binomial surgical and institutional rehabilitatory treatment. With what was achieved an important control of the pain and the complete return from the 42.3% of the patients to their occupational activities, but not to the sport activities previous to the injury. The grade of satisfaction with the granted treatment was “most satisfied”.REFERENCES
