Synchronous colorectal cancer

ABSTRACT
We had 5 patients with a diagnosis of synchronus colo-rectal cancer. Same who were diagnosed and submitted to surgery in our hospital in the time period between February 2006 to March 2007. All of them presented symptoms which were years old of the evolution. They had received treatments: 4 of them with intestinal parasitism, 3 of them of ferriprive anaemia and 1 with irritable colon. These patients underwent surgery: 4 of them of two cancers for conventional surgery, one through minimal access surgery to one of the tumors and the other one was dried out through endoscopy. The surgical procedures performed were: 2 rights hemicolectomies 1 right hemicolectomy to amplified, 1 left hemicolectomy with transversectomy and 1 right hemicolectomy with anterior resection from Dixon technique. Were tributaries or received adjuvant therapy 3 of the patients and one of them did not need it. After 12, 9 and 7 months, of follow up, 3 of them evolutioned well, one of them died out of postoperatory complications related to intestinal suture of dehiscence 10 days after the surgery. The last patient was operated a year ago through minimum invasive surgery and has evolutioned satisfactorily.
