ABSTRACT

The cystic adenomatoid malformation (CAM) is a congenital slightly frequent malformation that is part of the cystic lungs diseases, which can be diagnosed in a prenatal period or to be a late presentation for finding. Classified under 3 types (Stocker 1978) and recently for the same author in 5 types (1999), in relation to size and anatomopathology conditions, from what they derive clinical and repercussions. It informs about the case of a newborn child of feminine sex that presents the prenatal diagnosis of a probably lung cystic injury. Being to the birth clinical with a distress respiratory syndrome, there being realized thorax TAC in whom is given diagnosis of probably Cystic Adenomatoid Malformation (CAM), with post surgical and anatomopathologist diagnosis that corroborate a CAM type I.
