ABSTRACT
Two clinical cases with piodermia gangrenous are presented. The diagnosis was based on clinical data and favorable response to surgical treatment. Both cases were associated with systemic diseases and treated before their admission to hospital with antibiotic triple schema and local antibiotic ointments, with no response to them. Patients were admitted to the hospital’ emergency room and because of their conditions were hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit. The treatment was based on a combination with surgical resection of the necrotic tissue and closure of the wounds with local flaps and skin grafts. No local or systemic steroids were used. Postsurgical evolution was favorable in both cases and there was no recidivation.
