ABSTRACT

The subfascial breast augmentation procedure consists of the creation of a pocket to place breast implants below the pectoral muscle fascia. This technique described in 2000, has generated controversy since its description, but also great acceptance with the increase of experience. Among the main advantages described is the creation of an anatomically well-defined pocket, as well as a good implant covering with an aesthetically satisfactory result. This is a preliminary report of the experience with round silicone implants in the subfascial space. It describes the pocket dissection technique and the results obtained.
