ABSTRACT
Background: Adenoid cystic carcinoma is a distinctive malignant neoplasm that usually arises in salivary glands, however it can be present in other sites.
Case presentation: Here we describe a 37 year-old with 1-year history of dry cough, loss of weight and chest pain.
Conclusion: Bronchoscope-guided aspiration cytology provided a conclusive diagnosis of adenoid cystic carcinoma, which was further corroborated by histology in the lung specimen.
