ABSTRACT
Introduction: The traumatic injuries of the infrarrenal level vena cava constitute a surgical challenge that it requires of experience in the handling of the vascular trauma, as the availability of adapted grafts to repair this type of injuries.
Material and Method: Reason for made a prospective, experimental and cross-sectional study in the Military Central Hospital in 7 dogs, which were put under repair of vena cava later infrarrenal for intraoperating traumatic injury repaired peritoneo autologous abdominal wall in the same surgical time, verifying functionality with venous Doppler ultrasound in transoperatory, confirming permeability in 70% of the grafts.
Conclusion: The graft with autologous peritoneo of abdominal wall is a suitable option in case of vascular trauma and we considered that it can be used of first instance in cases of urgency.
