Hemodynamic measurement in severe preeclampsia

ABSTRACT
Introduction: In this study we settle down the differences between the normal hemodynamic changes and severe preeclampsia.
Objective: To describe the maternal hemodynamic changes in preeclamptic patients and compare normoevolutive pregnant woman.
Methods: With case and control study, prospective, transversal design we studied 17 variables hemodynamics by thoracic bioimpedance monitoring in 25 preeclamptic patients (group A) and 35 normoevolutive patients without previous disease.
Results: We found variables significantly uppers in the group A, comparatively at group B systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, pressure arterial mean, Thoracic Fluid Content, Systemic Vascular Resistance Index.
Conclutions: The thoracic bioimpedance monitoring is a viable method and not invasive in patients with preeclampsia in the Intensive Care Unit and results showed a elevated parameters by termodilution
