Osteogenic osteoblastic sarcoma of the parietal bone. A case report

ABSTRACT

Primary osteogenic sarcoma of the skull is an very rare condition. We present the case of a 31-year-old man, who had a tumor in the right parietal bone. The craneotomy was done and the microscopic findings are congruence with osteogenic sarcoma of the parietal bone. The origin of the osteogenic sarcoma in this anatomical localization are associated to radiation, head trauma and Paget’s disease. Independent of the morphologic variations of the tumor the percentage in relapse is exceedingly high.
