ABSTRACT
Introduction: The computed tomography is the initial imaging method in the paranasal region study.
Material and method. The depth and morphology of the ethmoidal ceiling were evaluated by CT according to Keros classification in patients that attend the Centro Médico ABC (ABC Medical Center). The morphology of the ethmoidal ceiling and its possible connection with frontal and/or ethmoid sinus pathology is described.
Results: Keros type II was the most frequent type, followed by type I and type III. Related to pathology, the fronta ethmoid sinus is the most affected. Type II is the most frequent type to show pathology for both genders, followed by type I. The main pathology found was the inflammatory one.
Conclusions: The pathology in both sinuses is more common than the aislated one, without being influenced by the morphology of the ethmoidal ceiling, being type II the most common type.
