Frequency of Fasciola hepatica in bullfight farms in the Tlaxcala State in Mexico

With the aim to determine the frequency of positive bovines with Fasciola hepatica eggs in bullfight farms in the Tlaxcala state, a study was performed. Faecal samples of recent faeces on the soil were collected of 20% of the bovine population in twenty five from the 38 farms, which are located in the state of Tlaxcala. The collection was done once during the months of October and November in 1988. The frequency of positive bullfight farms to F. hepatica eggs was done by municipality: Tetla with 21.85%, Atlangatepec with 38.75%, Tlaxco with 6.66%, Terrenate with 6.19%, Xalostoc with 0%, Hueyotlipan with 6.38%, Cuapiaxtla with 35.71 %, Huamantla with 0% and Domingo Arenas with 80%.REFERENCES
