ABSTRACT
Invasive aspergillosis is considered an infectious catastrophe generally occurring in the context of some disease with compromise of cell immunity, because an intracellular microorganism causes it. The most associated risk factors are HIV infection in advanced AIDS, patients with severe neutropenia, chronic use of wide spectrum antibiotics, steroids or chemotherapy, transplanted patients, with macrophage dysfunction and acquired or congenital immunodeficiencies. It is presented the case of a patient with invasive aspergillosis.
