ABSTRACT
Introduction: Lumbar canal stenosis and coxarthrosis are pathologies that can be found simultaneously in patients as of the sixth decade of the life.
Cases: Four cases with column-hip syndrome are reported, to case 2 was made L4-L5 discoidectomy, because of pain persistence we practiced comparative X-ray of coxofemorall joint being observed left osteoparthritis. In cases 3 and 4 extension of the lumbar channel was practiced, with which simptoms abatement was obtained; nevertheless, six and three months later MII pain returned, repeated X-ray of coxofemorall joint and it was observed that coxarthrosis had progressed, reason why arthroplasty of the hip was made.
