ABSTRACT
A whole 1,116 operated on children of club foot were recorded in our hospital in the period from January 1992 through August 1998. There were 431 bilateral cases for 1,547 feet. Only 880 feet were primarily treated in our hospital. Present paper is a review of clinical and X-ray records of 230 feet out of those 880 (26.1%), included here because of either relapsing deformation or complications after treatment. Results demonstrated that most common kind of relapsing was that of the complete deformity. Following rate was for adductus and equinus defects. Most common cause of relapsing was an incomplete surgical release at first operation. Other sequelae were sural atrophy and feet lenght discrepancy, which are however considered as a part of the disease more than complication of treatment. Less frequent complications were overcorrection into the valgus foot and rocker-bottom foot.
