Intra-articular chondroma of the knee: A case report

ABSTRACT

Intra-articular chondromas are rare tumours. To our knowledge, only 13 cases of chondroma in the knee have been previously described in the literature. Authors present a case of an infrapatellar chondroma of the right knee. The differential diagnosis for this condition is synovial chondromatosis as well as intra-articular calcified lesions. The treatment of choice is complete excision of the chondroma. Recurrence of these tumours is rare.
