ABSTRACT
Sixteen cases operated on of total hip replacement who had acetabular loosening after an average of 9.4 years, were treated by the application of Ganz acetabular supporting ring at revision surgery. There were 7 male and 9 female patients operated on from January to December 1997. In this retrospective, longitudinal, observational and descriptive trial, results according to the D’Aubigné scale of evaluation were good in 63% and fair in 37% for the acetabular reinforcement surgery.
