ABSTRACT
Gliosarcoma is a very rare pathology almost exclusively seen in the supratentorial space, with a bad prognosis and limited response to other treatment modalities.
This is a case presentation of a patient with a lesion of the cerebellopontine angle initially diagnosed as a meningioma, however further investigation with inmunohistochemistry techniques showed two components, a gliomatous and a sarcomatous. To our knowledge there are only three cases in the literature. It is noted to the best of the medical practice in Neurosurgery the complete analysis of the lesion including inmunohistochemical assays.
