ABSTRACT
The electrosurgery is the generation and application of the electric current between one active electrode and another of dispersion, it has been used since 1875 by Claude Paquelin, however the high frequency current with a 350 Khz at 4.0 Mhz rating is the best one to use with living tissues with a minor thermic damage (100-200 °C) it is called radiofrequency, and it has been used since 1980; being able to modify its outgoing waves types to produce a pure cut, coagulation or the blend of both, requiring for it the different dimensions of electrodes in the shape of a loop, rectangles or spheres the therapeutic excision efficiency varies in 97% with 3% of complications that are trans-bleeding and post-surgery bleeding with the possibility of counting with a histopathologic study specimen, being important the following from cytology, colposcopy and viral typification proofs because that allows to increment the rate of the early detection of recurrences, persistence or of the invader cancer.
