ABSTRACT
The heterotopic pancreatic tissue in the gallbladder is a rare entity and there are only a few cases reported in the literature. They are associated with cholecystitis and cholelithiasis and are always histologic findings in gallbladder removed with other underlying diseases. The heterotopic pancreatic tissue is generally asymptomatic due to its small size. A case of a young man with abdominal pain due to cholelithiasis and cholecystitis is reported. A mural nodule of exocrine pancreas was identified but was not considered to be cause of the clinical manifestations.
