New method for cleft lip surgery

ABSTRACT

Surgical techniques for cleft lip and palate reconstruction have developed to get satisfactory aesthetic results with the minimum of functional and aesthetics sequels to this day. Each surgeon devoted specially to the treatment of this malformation chooses the technique that he is more familiar with or the one that yields the best results according to the patient’s conditions. This has led to the search of a technique that reduces scar surgery with good aesthetic and functional results. The technique that is proposed has produced the best results leaving a vertical scar at the filtrum eliminating the scars at the base of the nose.
