ABSTRACT
The intra-articular application of steroids is a guarantee as treatment for a variety of knee painful syndromes. Indication, contraindications and possible complications as well as infiltration techniques for the knee and shoulder joints are reviewed in the present paper. Lydocaine infiltration altogether with beclometasone usually allows us an immediate pain relief as it can be identified as a complimentary diagnostic aid.
