ABSTRACT
It is realized that postoperative recovery of the knee has been faster since the routine use of arthroscopy in the decade of 70’s. Current diagnosis at proximity of Century XXI is even more precise and surgery is still less invasive. Results of arthroscopic evaluation of 764 knees in a 5-year span, from March 1993 through July 1998 are reported here. Age was 14 to 60 years. There were 496 men and 268 women. Overall results demonstrated effectiveness of 73.4% in clinical diagnosis as it was confirmed by arthroscopy. However a 100% was reached in most cases of specific diagnosis such as ACL, PCL, lateral meniscus, osteoarthritis and ELPS.REFERENCES
