Clinical and MRI correlationship in meniscal tears diagnosed and treated by arthroscopy

ABSTRACT

A comparative trial in 98 patients who had diagnosis of either acute of chronic meniscal tears was carried out from March through December 1998 for comparison between clinical, MRI and arthroscopic foundings. Age was 16 to 80 years. Results demonstrated that arthroscopic diagnosis had been suspected by clinical examination in 78 cases (79.5%) and by MRI in 83 (84.6%).
