ABSTRACT
This is a series of 21 patients who were operated on for arthroscopic reconstruction of anterior cruciate ligament injury. Patients were submitted to an early rehabilitation program and as early as to a second day crutch-assisted weight-bearing, without immobilization devices. No ligament losening or detachment did occur. Complete extension of the knee as well as flexión greater than 120 degrees were achieved at 12 weeks. The present program is recomended for the average patient in whom costs and reintegration time decrease.
