ABSTRACT
The ischemic before and alter surgery complications in cerebrovascular disease are common.
Objective: Establish the impact of a standard protocol with hemodynamic stabilization to avoid cerebral ischemic events.
Patients and methods: Design preliminar cohort of cases series, prospective study. Variables: days of stay, ischemic event around surgery period, time of closure of carotid artery (TCICA). Descriptive statistic, acumulative incidence rate of ischemia events and mortality.
Results: There were included 26 subjects, 20 with aneurysm and 6 with arteriovenous malformation (MAV); 7 males, 19 females. There where 8 with ischemic event (30.7%), 50% with (TCICA). One death associated to ischemic event. Days of stay in ICU 6.09 vs 1.66 days in non ischemic and ischemic events.
Conclusions: The standardize treatment of hemorrhagic stroke secondary to aneurysm or MAV, the complications are due to (TCICA), and subsequently increases days of stay an final outcome.
