ABSTRACT
There are many factors which may affect
in situ digestibility of livestock feed. In this rewiew, some of the most important factors affecting
in situ digestibility in ruminants, like bag porosity size, particle size, sample size to bag surface ratio, gas accumulation in the bags, microbial contamination, animal effects, dietary effects and position of the bags within the ritinen, are discussed.
