ABSTRACT
We present a case of a 52-year-old woman. She developed mycotic keratitis produced by a filamentous fungi (
Aspergillus flavus), with the risk factors of living in a tropical climate and wear of contact lens. We administered topical and systemic antifungal and she needed amniotic membrane transplant. In spite of treatment, it evolved to corneal perforation, requiring penetrating keratoplasty. The vision and the eye globe were conserved. Nowadays she is awaiting cataract surgery
