ABSTRACT
Introduction: The fever by dengue is caused by anyone of the four serum types of the family Flaviviridae, its clinical expression is of variable intensity. Material and methods: An observational, descriptive, prospective and cross-sectional study was made of the cases of classic dengue in patients with classic dengue and that fulfilled the criteria of febrile disease and that it was accompanied with two or more of the following manifestations: headache, pain ocular, joint and muscle pain, exanthema and bleedings manifestations. To all the cases a blood sample was taken them to carry out a test to him of IgM antibodies of capture for dengue by the method of ELISA Pan-BioTM. Results: 368 cases are included of which 65% were of the female and 35% of the male. The average for the age was of 29 years with a minimum of a year of age and a maximum of 78 years. The clinical manifestations in all the cases were fever (100%), followed of headache (96%), joint (91%), and muscular pain (90%). The serologic of IgM was negative in a 54%, positive in 42% and undetermined in 4%. No one of the cases at the time of the study developed bleeding manifestations. Conclusions: Dengue is a viral disease that can have a subclinical behaviour, to moderate clinical manifestations or severe, to even cause the death. Nevertheless by different causes it maintains a subregistry by the difficulty in its serologic confirmation and ends up diagnosing itself as classic dengue reason why is necessary to reframe its diagnosis.REFERENCES
