Experience in the management of the thoracic trauma complications in a National Institute of Health

ABSTRACT
The necessity of attend the thoracic trauma complications, have created the necessity to built new specialized centers, the preliminary experience of thoracic trauma complication’s were reported in this study, such as: haemothorax, diaphragm to late presentation, and tracheal stenosis. In the period from July 07
th 2005 to November 07
th 2005, 25 patients were included, those patients were to take care of inside the trauma-shock room in the Respiratory Emergency Attention and Research Unit, therefore 24 patients were men and only one was woman, their ages were between 16 to 77 years old the middle were 39.6 years old. Just 11 patients had hemothorax, 10 patients had tracheal stenosis postintubation, and 4 patients had postraumatic diaphragm hernia to late presentation, in those patients the mortality didn´t exist just one complication of coagulated haemothorax in a patient postoperated of hemothorax´s drainage.
