ABSTRACT
Morel-Lavallée lesion is a rare entity that is produced by a shearing effect that separates the subcutaneous cellular tissue from de fascia, leading to accumulation of hematic and lymphatic material. We report the clinical case of a female patient who suffered a high energy trauma and was diagnosed with a lumbar Morel-Lavallée lesion and hypovolemic shock grade II. We perform an open surgical drainage of the lesion, with satisfactory clinical evolution. Untreated lesions can cause pain, infection or growing subcutaneous mass that can hinder it management and diagnosis.REFERENCES
