Mammary augmentation and the double capsule phenomenon

ABSTRACT
We analyze a curious phenomenon that we found initially by chance, in a patient with textured retromuscular breast implants that presented a capsular contracture. When opened we found a double capsule, one contracted capsule inclosing the implant, while the other was firmly attached to the surrounding tissues.
