ABSTRACT
Introduction: plantar fibromatosis, or Ledderhose disease, is characterized by plantar nodules. It is part of the superficial fibromatoses Dup, Uytren´s disease, and Peyronie´s disease. Case report: a 56-year-old female with slightly painful nodules in the left plantar region that decreased in size with thermotherapy and stretching of the plantar fascia. Conclusions: Ledderhose disease usually responds to conservative treatment, requiring surgical management for pain and/or invasion of neurovascular tissues.REFERENCES
