ABSTRACT
Complications at bone and cardiovascular levels characterize mineral-bone disorder associated with chronic kidney disease (CKD-MBD). It occurs in nephropathic patients with poor adherence to treatment. We present a clinical case that suffered two complications associated with this entity: osteitis fibrosa cystica and stroke due to calcium embolism, which we describe. With proper management, its incidence is drastically reduced, which is why close surveillance and active followup of patients is essential.REFERENCES
