ABSTRACT
Spinal Dural Arteriovenous Fistulas (SDAVF) are abnormal connections between spinal arteries and veins, causing compression of surrounding structures and neurological issues. This clinical case presents a 14-year-old adolescent with symptoms of myelopathy and radiculopathy following a football incident, diagnosed with SDAVF at the T5 level after evidence from magnetic resonance imaging and angiography. The patient exhibited an incomplete spinal cord compression syndrome with affected motor and sensory levels. This case underscores the necessity for prompt evaluation and management of spinal compression in pediatrics, the importance of rehabilitation, and the scarcity of medical literature on SDAVF in children.
