ABSTRACT
Eosinophilic annular erythema is a rare, benign acute eosinophilic dermatosis with a recurrent evolution. Currently, there is controversy as whether it is an independent entity, a subtype of Wells syndrome, or an underdiagnosed Wells syndrome per se. It was first described in 1981 by Peterson and Jarrat in a pediatric patient and it was not until the year 2000 when Kahofer et al described the first case in an adult patient.
