ABSTRACT
The artificial intelligence (AI) is a strategic ally to create the necessary conditions for maximum academic, professional and work performance in any sector involved, such as in Ophthalmology, whose objective is to provide doctors with the tools and capabilities that exceed his or her own nature. Through the application of precise and simple systems, with the use of computer sciences. The ability to provide information from a single consultation, knowing that the patient has difficult access to visual health systems or their high costs, allows in a single session to determine if they are a candidate for more than one procedure. Anothers applications are the ones which determining an emergency or a situation typical of chronicity from the acute event found, which has made it possible to make an image, the favorable outcome in countries of the European Union where this operates on a regular basis. Currently, the legality of AI is a point to discuss and deepen, since the ethical, regulatory, privacy and intellectual property part, leave shared responsibilities in the hands of many, which, at the critical moment of making a wrong decision, weighs on those who directly had an influence on it and not on the technical part consulted.
