Objective. This proposal arises based on the requirements requested by the actors participating in the work.
Methodology. The study was developed by a qualitative research design, guiding the epistemological position from the conception of knowledge as a social construction and an intersubjective ontology, under the theoretical perspective of interpretivism, based on the phenomenological-hermeneutical method. The sample was of 30 adolescents between 14 and 17 years old, and their parents, for a total of 60 participants from Cerro Los García Community Council, state of Falcón, Venezuela.
Results. The findings showed that there are needs identifies by the adolescents regarding sexuality, psychosocial and biological changes of puberty, sexual desire, and misconceptions about the use of contraceptive methods. Regarding the parents, deficiencies were identified in terms of assertive communication with their son and daughters, regarding sexuality in general.
Conclusions. Based on this, two sex education programs were created to meet these needs and reduce the risk of unprotected sex and early pregnancy.
