ABSTRACT
Nevoid hyperkeratosis of the areola and nipple is a rare, benign, chronic dermatosis. It mainly affects the female sex and is generally bilateral. Hormonal factors have been proposed in its etiology, since it occurs during puberty and pregnancy. It is characterized by thickening with a warty appearance and pigmentation of the nipple and/or areola, diffuse and with poorly defined edges. Asymptomatic and chronic course. This article reports the case of a 40-year-old female patient with a six-year-old dermatosis located on the areola and left nipple. An incisional biopsy was performed, the diagnosis was compatible with nevoid hyperkeratosis of the areola and nipple.
