ABSTRACT
Objective: To estimate clinical and electrocardiographic factors in patients with
SARS-CoV-2.
Materials and Methods: A descriptive, observational, retrospective, crosssectional
study, carried out in the Cardiology Service of the Specialty Hospital no.
2 Lic. Luis Donaldo Colosio Murrieta, IMSS, Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico,
from June 2020 to August 2020. We included clinical, demographic data and electrocardiogram
results. Descriptive statistics were applied with measures of central
tendency and dispersion.
Results: Ninety cases were included; the average age was 57.53 ± 14.2 years; 48
patients (53.3%) were male. The main comorbidities were obesity in 74 patients (82.2%),
high blood pressure in 53 (58.9%), diabetes mellitus in 40 (44.4%) and 54 subjects (60%)
showed alterations in the electrocardiogram. The main electrocardiographic findings
were ST/T alterations in 19 patients (21%), conduction disorders in 13 (14.4%), rhythm
disorders in 13 (14.4%), QT alterations in 7 (8%) and cavity growth in one (1.1%),
while in 36 patients (40%) it was normal.
Conclusions: The main electrocardiographic findings in our series were ST/T alterations,
conduction disorders and rhythm disorders.
