Phalangeal and metacarpal fractures

ABSTRACT
Fractures of the phalanges and metacarpals are a major issue in the emergency room, frequently treated by the plastic and reconstructive surgery service. They have a high incidence, particularly in men, and can be managed conservatively before considering surgical treatment. Each case is analyzed to determine the best therapeutic plan and its probable complications. For this reason, we have compiled the main types of fractures of the phalanges and metacarpals and their respective treatments.
