ABSTRACT
Encrusted cystitis and pyelitis are often associated
with urealytic bacterial infections. In the last 30
years,
Corynebacterium urealyticum has been identified
as the microorganism most frequently involved
in these processes. This bacterium has been
described in all continents although more scarcely
in America. It would be of great epidemiological,
clinical and therapeutic interest to further investigate
this microorganism both in cases of cystitis
and encrusted pyelitis.
