ABSTRACT
Objective: To identify the level of use and knowledge of information and communication technologies (ICT) in family medicine residents. Methods: Mixed methodology with a phenomenological approach in 53 Family Medicine residents of the Family Medical Unit Number 19 in the City of Colima, State of Colima, Mexico. The Questionnaire on the use of ICTs in Resident Physicians of Veloz-Martínez was used, which explores various variables in the use of ICTs. A semi-structured interview was carried out in order to study: residents interactivity, attitude and digital skills. Results: The device with the highest use was the laptop, representing 96%. The perception of mastery of ICT was high. The allocated time to educational activities on average was 2 to 3 hours. Conclusions: ICTs grow every day at a dizzying rate, showing a great impact on medical education. Analyzing the mastery of these tools will develop better educational strategies to achieve permanent significant learning.REFERENCES
