ABSTRACT
The term pseudolymphoma or cutaneous lymphomatoid reaction
refers to benign cutaneous lymphoid proliferations that mimic cutaneous
lymphomas, both clinically and histopathologically. They
tend to be triggered by various agents, such as drugs. We present
a 24-year-old female hospitalized for autoimmune encephalitis and
refractory status epilepticus, managed with multiple drugs (anticonvulsants,
benzodiazepines, antidepressants and, antibiotics).
During her hospitalization, she developed a skin rash; skin biopsy
revealed a cutaneous pseudolymphoma. The intention of this clinical
case is to address the clinical and pathological aspects of druginduced
pseudolymphoma and its associated cd30+ expression.
