ABSTRACT
Myofibroma is a rare spindle cell neoplasm in the oral cavity. Initially described by Stout in 1954, it can present in an isolated or multifocal way, thus being called neurofibromatosis. On occasions, this lesion exhibits rapid growth, which can be misinterpreted as a malignant and aggressive lesion, for which a correct histopathological analysis is essential. The following is a report of a 61-year-old male patient with a diagnosis of myofibroma in the oral cavity.
