ABSTRACT
Mycosis fungoides is a malignant neoplasm originating in T lymphocytes that involves the skin and can spread to bone marrow, blood lymphocytes, lymph nodes and various internal organs. We present an 88-year-old male patient, who presented with skin lesions for approximately 2 years, and came to the emergency room because the skin lesions worsened 6 months ago. These lesions spread to the whole body, accompanied by fever of 38 degrees and intense pruritus. The diagnosis is interpreted as mycosis fungoides, which is confirmed by skin biopsy. The case is presented because it is important to always keep this diagnosis in mind, and thus avoid patients arriving in advanced stages of the disease with a very poor prognosis.
