ABSTRACT
The aim of this work is to identify the behavior of specialty and health topics sites of the Infomed network, in terms of the integration of Web 2.0 tools to develop communities of practice in virtual environments. A descriptive study was carried out, which included all Infomed specialty and health topics sites, in the period January-October 2022. The variables used were: type of website; presence of discussion/distribution list, blog, forum, comments; time of publication of the site; editor’s work time. Eighty-seven sites were studied. The integration of Web 2.0 tools in the development of these sites is still insufficient. Although approximately six out of ten sites (58,6 %) already have the possibility of comments, slightly less than half contain a discussion list (49,4 %) and the inclusion of professional blogs reaches only one fifth of the total. The elements to be considered in the design of a strategy for the development of virtual health practice communities were identified. The Infomed websites of specialties and health topics constitute the logical scenario for the construction of virtual communities of practice for the management of health knowledge in the Cuban context.REFERENCES
