ABSTRACT
Lucio´s phenomenon is a rare underdiagnosed disease which occurs in Lucio and Latapí Leprosy, the most anergic form of leprosy. It is an immune-complex mediated type 2 lepromatous reaction, that occurs in untreated or irregularly treated patients. This is the case of a 31-year-old male patient with a diagnosis of lepromatous leprosy, under an incomplete treatment scheme, who had a condition of Lucio´s phenomenon. He was assisted at Lucía Íñiguez Landín Clinical Surgical Hospital from Holguín, Cuba. In the case that we report, a diagnostic suspicion was observed due to the clinical evolution of lesions in the form of infiltrated erythematous macules and their transformation to blisters and necrotizing lesions.REFERENCES
