Method: a bibliometric study was carried out, in articles about COVID-19 published in Cuban student scientific journals between January 2020 and March 2021. The universe was made up of 364 articles and the sample of 64. Absolute frequency, relative percentage frequency and the Price Index were used.
Results: the journals Universidad Médica Pinareña and Revista 16 de Abril published 24,63 % of the articles each. The University of Medical Sciences of Havana generated 29,79 % of the investigations. Universities from countries such as Brazil, Peru and El Salvador contributed 9,45 %. Articles with three signatories (28,98 %) and those referring to Integrated Community Work (25 %) predominated.
